As overused as the term ‘shabby-chic’ is, Gridiron actually seems to fit the description quite well. There are lots of exposed bricks and arches over windows, as well as a painted wooden ceiling. None of the furniture is of excessive value, but everything goes together very well and helps foster a sense of coherence to the design. Its position means that there’s not much natural light, but it’s artificial counterpart does a decent job of keeping the place bright, and you’ve always got the balcony and the main terrace if you need some fresh air.
