Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This is an elegant home that builds its minimalist look based on a simple colour scheme. The hosts have carefully furnished each room with unobtrusive furniture that helps the style fully express itself – we especially liked the hanging lights in the living room. Although this home is a little bit further away from the centre, it's located in the relaxed residential neighbourhood of Graça. The large balcony means you can genuinely enjoy the awe-inspiring view from the top of Lisbon's highest hill. You're not far from the city centre, and the Praça do Comercio is a twenty-three-minute walk. However, there's no avoiding that hill on the way back to your home. Luckily there are excellent transport links so you needn't walk if you'd rather put your feet up. Closer to home, you're a ten-to-fifteen minute walk from Graça gems such as the iconic homes of Vila Berta, that mandatory sunset glass of wine at Botequim, and the tiny eight-person restaurant Estaminé – which serves up some of the best-rated food in the city in an unassuming setting.

About Intendente

The Mayor of Lisbon moved his office into Intendente in 2012, giving it the infusion of funds needed to rebuild and elevate this often forgotten part of town. Only a decade ago, Intendente was in bad shape, but the revitalising initiatives have created an unexpected consequence – an incredible culinary scene, where everything goes. There are still some rough edges, but most of the previously abandoned buildings now home indie record stores, craft fairs, and art galleries. We suggest you start your trip in Largo Café, the artsy meeting point for locals and visitors.
