Just a five-minute walk from the Hilton and Metzitzim beaches, this cool apartment is modern, spacious and packed with character. We love the rustic wooden furniture, most of which the host made himself, and the fabulous outdoor spaces – not just one but two. Cleverly designed and decorated with great care, it's a real home from home in this quiet neighbourhood. The sociable living space is open-plan and roomy, with doors out to a charming sun terrace with wicker sofas and pot plants. A stylish kitchen and dining table are perfect for whipping up meals together, and there's a cosy seating area to retreat to in the evenings – with another lounge on the galleried landing. Surrounded by great places to eat, drink and shop, as well as Yarkon Park, it's in an excellent spot too.

About Old North
Spanning from Arzolorov Street to Park Hayarkon, the Old North is a well-kept neighbourhood full of classy sea-facing bistros serving Mediterranean delicacies as well as chic cafés and mainstream shopping streets. Its most famous street is Dizengoff Street. Even though many of the shops are high-end, the restaurants and bars are affordable, and many Tel-Avivians come here to enjoy a drink in some of the stylish cocktail bars that are dotted along the street and its offshoots.
