Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

History emanates from the walls of this cosy little home in Navona. The structure itself has been well preserved and looked after, with its crossbeam ceiling and wooden doors retaining their rustic charm. Recently renovated, you'll find all the usual mod-cons needed for a comfortable stay too, with a light-filled double bedroom and swanky en-suite bathroom that features a luxurious rainfall shower. While the compact kitchen is better suited for preparing light bites and breakfast, the coffee making station in the living space more than makes up for it. Through to the bedroom, you'll notice the lime green colour scheme, abstract wall art and an antique study area for those keeping one eye on work during their stay. Outside, there's a real authentic feel to the surrounding area that we really love. Hidden down a beautifully atmospheric backstreet, this home's local neighbourhood will make you feel as if you've stepped back into sixteenth century Rome. Take a quick stroll down to the Piazza Navona and just an eleven-minute walk to Trastevere – an area known for its traditional trattorias, craft beer pubs and artisan shops.

Home truths

The compact kitchen is more of a kitchenette, only suitable for basic cooking and preparing snacks

There's no lift in the apartment building, so you will have to climb a total of forty-six stairs to reach the front door

Two people can sleep on a double sofa bed in the living room, though four guests in the flat would be a squeeze

There's only one air conditioning unit, and while it's powerful enough to cool the whole place, you would have to leave the doors open

Local guide

About Navona

Stretching from Piazza Navona to the river, the area is one of the most atmospheric in the city. The Piazza, with its Bernini statues and Borromini church, is the main draw, but there are any number of golden palazzos, many with inner courtyards to explore. The area is sliced in two by Corso Vittorio Emmanuele, one of Rome's most frenetic roads, but you can dive down the nearest sides street...
