This funky pad is new, but it’s not modern. There’s a distinct 70s vibe, led by the bold wallpaper prints, vibrant velvet furniture and chic decor – especially the vintage Guinness advert, that we really love. Stepping in to look around, there's a sense of calm here, due to the minimalist design, high wood-beamed ceiling and open-plan living space. Through to the bedrooms, you'll find bright pops of colour, quirky bedside lighting and a couple of vinyl records, just for good measure. Trastevere isn’t known for being a particularly relaxed area, but you wouldn’t know, in this relaxing apartment. In fact, there are all manners of family-run trattorias, craft beer pubs and tantalising restaurants right on your doorstep. There are plenty of hotspots nearby too – from the Teatro Marcello (an eighteen-minute stroll away) to the Pantheon, just ten minutes from home. After an afternoon wandering the cobbled streets below, return to your beautifully appointed balcony, facing the Santa Cecilia Tower, for an evening limoncello with a magical view.

Today the area is home to an eclectic variety of characters, ranging from longstanding Roman families and foreign students to pasta obsessives in search of the perfect cacio e pepe. Host

This home is managed by Ekaterina

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Ekaterina and Valentina look after a few apartments in Trastevere, each channeling a 70s aesthetic but maintaining its individual identity. As well as having all the basics down to a fine art, the pair are also very into the local food scene - it’s Rome, who can blame them. Make sure you ask them for their tips on where to eat.

This home is a Plum Guide Award winner.
