Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

This bright and modern home is hidden away in the historic neighbourhood of Mouraria. The winding streets hide some of the oldest buildings in Lisbon, and the area itself remains a Fado haven. You’ll find a tapestry of eateries to sample from, with renowned seafood restaurants, Nepalese, Bangladeshi and Chinese restaurants all nearby. Overlook Lisbon’s most iconic buildings from your beautiful private terrace – from the far left you can spot Castelo de São Jorge, to the river Tagus and Convento do Carmo. In between, admire terracotta roofs and characteristic Pombaline buildings lining the hills. We love that this extraordinary view is shared by the kitchen, dining room and reading room as well – so wherever you are lounging in this home, the city comes with you. Unwind in the study with a good book, fix up dinners in the kitchen to enjoy in the lovely dining room and enjoy a sunset drink on the private terrace. Afterwards, doze off under the elegant chandelier in the bright and comfortable bedroom. Plus, should you be interested in a cruise of the Tagus, surf lesson, helicopter flight, wine tours or a home massage, your host can arrange it for you.

About Mouraria

With street performers, Fado shows and lots of unmissable sights, Mouraria should be at the top of your list. A trip through its narrow streets is like stepping back in time, revisiting the rich cultural background even before the great earthquake of 1755. In fact, the story goes that Fado was born in Mouraria, and it’s since made its way to the UNESCO World Heritage list. Although it’s quite central, this neighbourhood has a strong local community and an independent art scene that will show you a side of old, nostalgic Lisbon that you won’t find anywhere else.
