It's only right that every home in the vicinity of Madrid’s Palacio Real shows a little class – we're in the neighbourhood of perfectly trimmed royal gardens after all – and this home doesn’t disappoint. Located in popular Plaza de San Miguel, there’s a cool laid-back vibe to this home that feels like a perfect reflection of the city. From the exposed brick walls to the sociable open-plan living area and vibrant pops of colour in the decor, this home is immediately welcoming. We love the French doors that allow plenty of that dazzling Spanish sun to pour in and the charming balconies overlooking San Miguel Market just across the square. Pop over to buy fresh produce before cooking up a feast in the sleek, modern kitchen to enjoy at the sunny dining table. There’s a desk space here too should you need to catch up on work, while the two bedrooms – each curated with an artistic touch – invite a dreamy night’s sleep in their comfy beds. Outside of your home, you’ve got bustling Calle Mayor right on your doorstep, the Palacio Real is a five-minute walk away, Plaza Mayor is walkable in three and Gran Vía is fifteen minutes away on foot.

About Opera y Palacio Real

The small neighbourhood of Opera y Palacio Real sits next to the Royal Palace and its grand squares with manicured gardens. It’s also home to El Teatro Royal, the grand opera house. This part of town has an abundance of space and is far less busy than other parts of central Madrid – the calmness of the area makes it popular with families. You’ll find high-end local shops to peruse, as well as excellent restaurants, in this refined and sedate neighbourhood.
