Trastevere is famous for its narrow, atmospheric streets, and Turpentine fits in well. It’s not huge, but the split over two levels means that it doesn’t feel cramped. Admittedly, the upstairs isn’t good for much apart from sleeping, but it doesn’t need to be. Likewise, the balcony is too small to be on, but its presence is much appreciated, both for the natural light it brings in, and the views of the neighbouring buildings, which make you feel like you’ve travelled seventy years back in time.

Host
This home is managed by Licia
This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Licia looks after this place and several others on behalf of the owners, who can’t always be around. We thought she was great – particularly chatty – and she had plenty of tips on the best things to do and places to go in the area.
