Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

In a city famous for its warren-like alleyways, it’s rare for a Roman home to have a park across the street, but this one is lucky in that regard. It doesn’t hurt that this green space houses the imposing Castel Sant'Angelo, or that a ten-minute walk in the other direction will get you to St Peter’s Basilica. To talk purely about the location would be a disservice to the apartment though, which is rather pleasing to the eye. The floors are a rich, polished parquet and the walls a cleaning white — a combination that's instantly bright and welcoming. There's a minimalist feel to the choice of furnishings, which all have the requisite quality to pull it off. Our favourite feature has to be the private terrace and alfresco dining table, which is given a sense of peace and privacy by the overhanging vines. This is sure to be the picturesque setting for morning espressos while you plan the day ahead.

Due to its coat of arms featuring a lion, the area is also known as Leonine City. Castel Sant'Angelo, originally the emperor Hadrian's tomb and now a museum filled with paintings and sculptures, looms over the district. Its roof terrace, which...
