Framed by climbing roses and jasmine, Holly Cottage, sits down a quiet country lane. If you're looking for traditional, picture-postcard England, it's the place to be. Wandering through the village of Coln St Aldwyns is like stepping back in time. There isn't a single modern development nearby, with most of the cottages built in the 17th and 18th Century. Close to the shop is the old bakery and bathhouse – the baths were heated by the bakery’s ovens! When you're not investigating the local history, the beautiful countryside makes for wonderful walking. Return in the evening for a bubble bath and a glass of wine by the fire. The covered barbecue makes for a great spot to enjoy an alfresco dinner, come rain or shine.
