Westward Ho! is famous for its quirky name and this seafront apartment is a real gem in this Devon village. The open-plan kitchen and living area invites in the sea breeze, making it the perfect place to kick back and relax. Throw open the patio doors to the balcony, and settle down with a glass of something cold as the sun dips below the horizon. If you do decide to venture out – and we don’t blame you if you can’t tear yourself away from that sea view – there's plenty to do right on your doorstep. For cyclists, the Tarka Trail is not too far, and water-sports enthusiasts can go surfing and canoeing. The South Western Coastal Path runs through Westward Ho!, taking you along dramatic cliffs where you can listen to the crashing waves as you walk. You can also spend hours exploring the local villages – don’t miss nearby Appledore, known for its colourful houses and picturesque harbour. And when it’s time for lights out, it doesn’t get better than drifting off to sleep in a sumptuous four-poster bed.
