Set in the pretty market town of Fairford, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, this petite cottage is a country retreat perfect for couples or solo travellers. The space is snug throughout – from the cosy sitting room with log-burner to the comfy king-size bed, you’ll have no trouble finding a spot to relax in. In the mornings, take breakfast in the garden and when evening falls, share a bottle of wine in the summer house. The kitchen has everything needed for light meals, but as there's only a small folding table, we prefer trying out the pubs and restaurants in the area. The Marlborough Arms is a three-minute walk away and during Christmas time, there’s a lovely market with festive foodie treats just five minutes up the road. Jump in the car to discover Whelford Pools Nature Reserve for fishing and walking opportunities or drive for twenty minutes to reach the honey-hued village of Bibury.
