For a taste of traditional Croatian life, this beautifully renovated nineteenth-century home ticks all the boxes. It's located in a small coastal village, on the island of Brač, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. The slower pace of life here means you’ll easily find time to lounge on the honey-coloured terrace with a good book and then cool off in the shimmering pool. Surrounded by a sumptuous mature gardens, there’s a shady outdoor dining area complete with barbecue, making outdoor dining a complete delight. The inside is cosy and traditional, with wooden beams and simple decoration providing a refuge from the midday sun. From here it’s easy to walk to the beach in Mirca, to enjoy long days basking on the sand or taking a dip in the sea.
