Do you have a question about this home or the local area?
Believe it or not, this villa was actually converted from an old farmer’s cottage. While it’s a lot larger and much more modern now, you’ll still see hints of its original character in the wood-beamed ceilings and traditional tools decorating the stone walls of its lounge. Speaking of, the lounge is the best place to pour yourself a drink at the bar and relax on the leather sofa in front of the flat screen television. There’s a lot to be said for the garden too – as well as outdoor dining, the large covered veranda features table football and table tennis for heated competitions, and a hammock if hanging out and watching the sunset is more your style. On those hot Portugese days, you’ll enjoy a refreshing dip in the private pool, which has its own outdoor shower and jacuzzi. Head out for a walk into the surrounding countryside, or explore the beach which is just six kilometres away.

About Madeira
It might always be sunny in Philadelphia, but it’s forever spring in the archipelago of Madeira. Made up of three main islands (Madeira, Porto Santo and Desertas), this geographical marvel flung out in the Atlantic is regularly voted Europe’s best island escape. And with its deliciously temperate climate year-round, extraordinary tropical flora and fauna, dramatic forested mountains and hilltop villages, it’s easy to see why. Start by exploring Madeira’s capital...
