Nestled away in an ancient fortress tower, high above the cobbled streets of the medieval town of Lucca, this charming home embodies all that is beautiful about Tuscany. Just an eleven-minute stroll from alfresco wining and dining on the bustling main square – Piazza Napoleone – this tower sits right within the famed walled city itself. Step inside and ascend to the second floor, where you’ll find an apartment blooming with rustic, earthy features. Striking timber beams align the ceilings, while the tiled floors play host to antique oak furnishings. Every room is decorated with plenty of Italian passion in mind, from bespoke low-hanging chandeliers, to warming floral curtains, doilies, and rugs. Pour yourself a well-deserved glass of Tuscan wine and check out the fabulous views of terracotta roofs and vibrant streets below. If you fancy heading down there, we recommend checking out one of the many local restaurants for a bite to eat and a couple of chilled limoncellos. You might even want to explore other historic towns close to this walled wonder, plus the Leaning Tower of Pisa is just a twenty-minute drive from home.

There’s a buzzy nightlife scene centred around cool enotecas and craft beer bars. On Via Fillungo, you’ll find some of Lucca’s finest boutiques, with high-end...
