Owned by the same family for over 100 years, this home must have some stories to tell. The gleaming wood beams and smooth tiled floors are full of history and are ready and waiting for you to make your own. Whether with family or friends, get ready to kick back in more than an acre of private grounds, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards. It’s secluded, but less than ten-minutes drive from the city centre of Lucca and twenty-minutes from the nearest beach. Inside this old farmhouse, you’ll find sumptuous antique furniture, pastel walls and cosy fireplaces, and outside, plenty of space for relaxing around your own private pool. The best bit though is the (second) fully equipped kitchen with a wood-fired pizza oven and barbecue, in the old lemon house. It’s a pretty pool house with a dining space and grand windows overlooking the garden. From here, it’s an easy stroll through Tuscan fields to the nearest restaurant, and there are tennis courts and a horseriding centre nearby. With wheels, this is a great base for exploring this corner of Italy.
