Sitting pretty as a Picasso painting, this two-storey home located right on one of Empuriabrava’s canals is a serious showstopper. The interiors have a clear reverence to traditional Spanish style, from the open-hearth fireplace to the terracotta floors overlaid by colourful tapestries. Our favourite room has to be the cobalt blue accented kitchen with ceramic wall tiles. Outside, the garden is expertly manicured and the swimming pool sits just overlooking the canal, prime position for sunbathing and people watching the glitz and glam of the area, referred to by some as Spain’s Venice. The home offers direct access via the canal to the sea, making your transition between land and water as seamless as masterly brushstrokes.
