This little city home is as slick as they come. A private retreat with everything you need for an independent stay, it's also part of an aparthotel so extra services are on hand if you need them. New York-based architect Matt Grzywinksi is behind the redesign of this studio. Close to the Millennium Bridge and featuring stylish, custom-made furniture, the space is cleverly separated with storage cabinets. On one side, there's an olive lounge complete with a cuboid sofa and table and chairs for relaxing evenings. On the other, you'll find a suspended king-size bed. For light meals, the marble-topped kitchen is on hand, but there's a restaurant in the building too. Right on the edge of the city, and steps away from the Thames, everything is at your fingertips. Stroll across the bridge to the South Bank and trendy Borough Market, or walk the six minutes to the nearest tube station to reach every corner of London.

About City of London
The City of London might be first and foremost a business district but it does also have over 8,000 residents who call it home, many of whom live in the famous Barbican buildings, one of the greatest examples of 1960s Brutalist architecture and also home to a world-class arts space. The streets of the Square Mile itself hint at the area's rich history: goldsmiths, mercers, grocers, fishmongers and their trades are still celebrated in their livery halls and there are over 600 listed buildings!
