Whether it's exploring Anglesey's miles of inspiring coastline or simply sitting by the lake soaking up the fresh air, this cottage retreat set on the idyllic Welsh Isle of Anglesey is the countryside escape you've been chasing. Neatly tucked away in the unspoiled countryside and surrounded by fishing lakes and woodland walks, you could feel a million miles from anywhere here. But hop in the car, and in no time, you can be mooching about the charming village of Llanerchymedd (a four-minute drive) with its traditional pubs for a cheeky pint and bite to eat or paddling along the sandy beach of nearby Traeth Lligwy (nineteen-minute drive). Back at the detached stone cottage, this once milking parlour is beautifully reimagined for modern country living with an inglenook log-burning fire and whimsical floral wallpaper bringing all the country feels. When the sun shines, open the patio doors wide and pad out into the enclosed terrace for a barbecue. Then take an early evening stroll following the pathways leading down to the lake's peaceful communal cabin to dangle your legs over the jetty edge. You might even spot kingfishers diving over the lake, if you're quiet.
