3.9
The creamy hazelnut and mocha hues of this apartment are infinitely calming and a pleasure to come home to after a whirlwind day discovering Milan. The open-plan living space is bright and comfortable with books lining shelves opposite a windows-side sofa and a handy desk space here should you need to catch up on work. We love the sparkling kitchen that invites you to cook up an Italian feast when you’re not out sampling the local dining scene, while the bedroom – decorated in a warm, neutral palette and boasting view-giving windows – has been carefully curated with rest in mind. Factor in the canary-yellow bathroom with its relaxing rainfall shower, and you’ve got everything you need for a carefree stay. When it comes to sightseeing, you’re just a twenty-minute walk from the Quadrilatero della Moda, the Duomo di Milano and the striking Velasca Tower, while the Giardini della Guastalla – one of the city’s oldest parks – is a ten-minute stroll from your door.

Home truths
Though there's a lift in the building to reach the apartment on the third floor, it is not wheelchair accessible
As you're in a wonderfully central location, you may hear some street noise – light sleepers may wish to bring earplugs
The curtains in the bedroom are not blackout blinds, so those sensitive to light may wish to bring an eye mask for sleeping
Out of respect for the neighbours, please keep noise levels to a minimum between 10 pm and 8 am
You'll need to bring your own shampoo
The building's entrance is shared with the other residents
You'll be able to self-check in here
We recommend skipping the car here and using Milan's public transport instead – Porta Romana station is a fifteen-minute walk away

About Guastalla
Guastalla is an attractive, mainly residential area, just outside of the historical centre, in the South East part of the city, but since Milan is so small, it's actually only a twenty minute walk to the Duomo - you're hardly out in the sticks here. The neighbourhood is probably most famous for its beautiful park, Milan's oldest in fact, first created as a private garden in 1555. It's a lovely...

Host
This home is managed by Flavia
This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Flavia and her team look after quite a few homes, not only in Milan but in other cities around Italy as well. We thought they were a very professional outfit, and seemed ready to handle anything that might come up.
