Sleek, white and bright inside, this central London apartment is a sophisticated base for any trip to the capital. Large, warehouse-style windows let natural light stream into the open living, kitchen and dining room, and they show off the views of the bustling street below – on a clear day, you can see all the way to Crystal Palace. We loved the art-gallery white walls with mid-century styled furniture to match, but the forest-green velvet sofa and fawn lounging chair add a bit of depth to the palette. Should the temperature drop, a modern fireplace can keep things cosy. Location-wise, you'll be tucked behind Regent Street, a shopper's paradise and one of the most famous places in London. You can't get more central – a short stroll away are Savile Row, Piccadilly Circus, Soho and the lively theatres in the West End. Buckingham Palace and St James's Park are also less than ten minutes on foot, and if this area is good enough for royalty, then it's good enough for us.

About Mayfair

Mayfair needs no introduction - it is quite simply the epicentre of luxury London, the place to satisfy the most extravagant tastes in food, fashion, jewellery and art. Home to Bond Street, Savile Row, and Cork Street, Mayfair is stuffed full of history and monopoly players will know that real estate doesn't come cheap here. Once you've shopped til you drop, we recommend a lavish afternoon tea: will it be Claridge's, Fortnum & Masons or The Ritz? Take your pick.
