We're not going to pretend this is the most lavish of all our homes but it is authentically Italian, super cute and in a great location. Set in the historic village of Borgomaro, in Liguria (known as the 'Italian Riviera'), it's at the top of an ancient building off one of the pretty streets. An unusual loft layout means the living space is quite limited but there is a kitchenette and an intimate little dining spot for two. A shower room is on this floor too, with the bedroom upstairs on a mezzanine, tucked right under the aged beams of the roof. With lovely touches like vintage floral curtains, parquet floors and ornate wrought iron railings, it's got a lot of character. Just a twenty-minute from the coast, here you'll be close to the seaside town of Imperia for days out, or just hike along the river, walk in the mountains and experience real Italy at a relaxed pace.
