The best spot to take it all in is the small patio – it faces directly onto the beach, and while it's not the most private, the excellent views more than make up for the lack of solitude. Grab a glass of wine and a snack or two and spend the evenings out there, watching the sun dip below the horizon and the stars come out overhead. Being so close to the water means you can nip back home whenever you need a break from the waves – the clean lines, white colour scheme and contemporary furniture create a lovely sense of calm. We also love the stone walls, which add a rustic, Spanish flair to this otherwise modern pad. You'll be smack-dab in the centre of La Aldea de San Nicolás, an artsy area known for picturesque coastal hiking routes, local craft shops and hidden coves. Las Palmas is just over an hour away if you fancy some Gran Canaria glitz and glam, but a little closer to home, you'll find a bar next door and a few restaurants within walking distance so you won't be far from the action, either.
