Standing seventy-two metres high, York Minster can be seen from plenty of places in the city, but we're prepared to go out on a limb and say the unobstructed view from this sixth-floor apartment's balcony has to be one of the better ones. And given that the space is sheltered, the vantage point can be enjoyed whatever the weather. Back inside, the design is minimalist but there's substance behind it. The wooden floors, for example, benefit from underfloor heating, while the long kitchen has ample surface space and is stocked with Neff appliances. Guests staying here also benefit from an onsite concierge and a rather stylish communal lounge area upon entrance. When you're ready to see the sights of York, the ecclesiastical landmark you can see from your windows is only thirteen minutes away on foot, with the route taking you past the Merchant Adventurers' Hall and through the medieval Shambles.

About North Yorkshire

England’s largest ceremonial county, almost half of North Yorkshire is covered in National Parkland. The wild hinterland of the North Yorkshire Moors can be discovered on foot over meandering paths, or from the comfort of a Victorian carriage on a vintage steam train.
