This Cotswold abode nestled within a farmland estate began its life as a humble milking parlour – not that you'd know it. Nowadays, it's a luxurious country retreat, seamlessly blending classic-English design and characterful charm. Make yourself comfortable in the vast living space with a cosy sofa nook flanking one end – and a made-for-action kitchen at the other for rustling up a hearty meal. The traditional farmer's kitchen table with a monk's bench is a wonderful place to gather your troops together for a lazy mealtime in the winter months, before retiring to the fireside for film nights – the underfloor heating keeps things toasty. In the summer months, take things outside into the pretty English garden for an alfresco barbecue. And as the sun sets over the patchwork fields beyond, cosy up beside the fire pit for an evening of stargazing. Thanks to the home's peaceful, rural setting, it's quite a show. When it's time to get and about, you're just a seven-minute drive from the market town of Shipston-on-Stour with its traditional pubs and restaurants to keep you well-watered and fed. Or pack up a picnic and blaze a trail into the stunning countryside – there are cycle routes and footpaths aplenty right on your doorstep.
