A renaissance home in the hills, this is the kind of holiday villa you’ll daydream about long after you’ve returned to your normal life. The villa can be found at the heart of the Lucca hills, on the edge of the village of Vorno and within easy reach of all of Tuscany’s gems – day trips to Siena, Florence and Le Cinque Terre are all on the cards here. Of course, we’d understand wanting to spend every second of your stay at the villa. It’s beautiful, a renovated farmhouse that boasts authentic features like stone walls and exposed wooden beams, mixed in with designer furniture and local artwork. It’s a real country home with a warm and inviting atmosphere, whether you’re in the formal dining room or are playing billiards in the living room upstairs – the views of the vineyards and olive groves are stunning. Outside, there’s a swimming pool lined with sun loungers and daybeds, and elegant gardens. There’s a barbecue and pizza oven, so you might spend your evenings dining under the stars – it’s a romantic setting for sure. You can stroll into Vorno in fifteen minutes, where you’ll be able to buy gelato and wine, and dine in a local trattoria. It takes just eleven minutes to drive into Lucca, home to galleries, boutiques and great dining options, as well as being rich in history. However you spend your time in Tuscany, you’ll leave here longing to return soon.
