Nestled among oak and cypress trees, this traditional stone villa welcomes you to explore the spectacular nature of Rethymno. The area offers plenty of natural wonders, surrounded by fruit trees, citrus plants and olive groves. Speaking of greenery, the garden offers a private oasis of colourful flowers and shrubbery, which frame a private pool and jacuzzi. Start your days with breakfast on the patio before taking a dip in the cooling waters. Once refreshed, spend the day exploring. The picturesque village of Prines is just 1km away, where you'll find beautiful plazas with plenty of Venetian character. If you fancy a change of scene, the City of Rethymno is just a short drive away which offers a taste of the region's history thanks to museums, the famous harbour and traditional taverns. When you return home, there's nothing like a family barbecue to wind down for the evening. The outdoor kitchen provides the perfect place to test out your culinary knowledge and have a go at making some local dishes, which are best enjoyed alfresco with a glass of wine. Post-dinner, head to the balcony to watch the sun set over the island.

About Crete

The biggest of Greece’s islands, Crete has thousands of years of history scattered across its wild hinterland, and a coast dotted with secluded bays. The capital of Heraklion is a lively port city with a world-class museum, but the main draw to the island are the crumbling ruins, white mountains, and crystal clear waters for swimming and snorkeling. Evidence of the ancient Minoans that once lived here is on display...
