Located in the lively Rue Jean-Pierre Timbaud in the 11th arrondissement, this comfortable courtyard-facing studio provides a tranquil base for a couple or solo traveller in one of Paris’ trendier neighbourhoods. With its wood floors, cool blue statement wall and contemporary furnishings, it has a laid-back vibe that instantly makes you feel at home. We particularly like the Crittall-style room divider that separates the living room from the cocoon-like bedroom. Upstairs, through the arched doorway, a cosy kitchen area has everything you need to prepare breakfast ahead of a busy day of sightseeing. Just a ten-minute walk away, you’ll find the Canal St-Martin lined with cafes and bars, while an eight-minute stroll will take you to Parc de Belleville whose panoramic hilltop views are one of the city’s best-kept secrets. The Marais, too, is just a twenty-five minute walk away, where vintage shops and the inside-out-looking CentrePompidou wait to be explored.

At maximum capacity, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room – because this is a compact studio though, we think this home is better suited to two adults
This is a basement studio and therefore lacks natural light
The bedroom area is separated by a glass room divider rather than a proper wall
The kitchen is quite small and better suited to making light snacks than larger meals
Free on-street parking is available, but we recommend skipping the car and using Paris' excellent public transportation instead – Couronnes Metro station is just a three-minute walk away
