As you pull up to the parking lot at this address, you could be forgiven for wondering where exactly your home for the next few nights is. However, follow the colourful staircase up the hill and you'll be greeted by this bohemian retreat, not to mention a lovely view out over Laurel Canyon. The balcony from which to admire this vista is huge — almost bigger than the interior — and with lounge seating and a covered dining area, you can spend time out here whatever the season. In fact, it's not been unheard of for guests to sleep outside on warmer nights. Back inside, the vibe is rustic, with timber ceilings, an ornate fireplace and deep blue tiling used throughout that adds welcome bursts of colour. If you're after a cosy hideaway to escape reality for a short while, you won't go far wrong with this hidden gem.

This home is managed directly by its owner who will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Kristie owns and rents out a few homes in Laurel Canyon and is a resident in the area herself. She wishes she could have this home as her primary residence but unfortunately it's not big enough to accomodate her family. She loves being able to share it with others though and she always does everything she can to help give her guests the best possible stay.
