For a wonderful example of an Eixample home, it’s hard to look beyond Las Grandes Cornisas. The interiors blend a grand, pre-war aesthetic with touches of modernity where you’d want to see them (most notably in the kitchen and in the bathrooms. The street below is Passeig de Grácia (Casa Batllo is about fifty metres away), which has one of the best stretches of luxury boutiques in the city. And if you’re after vermouth rather than furs, both the Gothic Quarter and Grácia are a short walk away.
