Wow friends or family with this cool, contemporary mews house where all is bright and bold. Colourful artworks stand out against the huge living area’s crisp white walls; a giant coffee machine headlines the sleek kitchen’s high-tech appliances in. Stylish designer furniture also impresses, as does a giant plasma TV and surround-sound audio throughout. Up top, snuggled into eaves, the two main bedrooms combine luxurious Egyptian cotton with orthopaedic mattresses. All this, and Islington’s cafes and shops are within pleasant walking distance.

Home truths

If you walk to the property from Finsbury Park station, it won't be the most scenic of strolls, if you wish for a more residential view of the area, you can walk from Arsenal underground which will though take a few minutes longer.

There's a glass staircase with a bannister railway leading up to the bedrooms so some may prefer not to stay in the home with very young children

The third bedroom, which isn't photographed, is a loft style bed suitable for kids – this is not suitable for those with reduced mobility

The master bedroom ensuite does not have a door – this is not suitable for those seeking privacy

Local guide

About Finsbury Park

Finsbury Park is located in North London and is a vibrant, cosmopolitan area. The streets are mainly residential and it is certainly a pub not club area with a mixture of gastropubs and traditional public houses. It is well connected to the rest of London as it is based on the Victoria line of the underground, one of the quickest lines into central London. A big draw for the area is the 110-acre park that has tennis courts, football pitches and even a boating lake, a nice break away from busy London living!
