5.0

High ceilings and straight lines characterize this roomy, smartly designed apartment. Standing outside, you'd expect this home to have an old-world, traditional feel, but the modernist revamp has added in white walls, contemporary finishes and a lofty mezzanine. There's also a dining table with Eames chairs and luxury bedding to ensure a good night's sleep, not to mention a glossy kitchen in case you're in the mood to cook. It's light, bright and ultra-stylish – perfect for a couple to retreat to after a busy day exploring the city. You're smack-dab in bustling Bayswater, within strolling distance of Hyde Park (ten minutes away) and Notting Hill (reachable in under half an hour). This area has plenty of laid-back eateries, cosy pubs and shops to discover, and with access to Paddington, Royal Oak and Bayswater underground stations to take you even further into the city, it's a great spot to be if you're in town to see the sights.
