There’s a real sense of serenity to this home in Milan’s Porta Venezia district with its beamed ceilings, rustic-meets-modern furniture and its oasis-like terrace. Boasting shuttered French doors in each room leading out onto this calm outdoor space, you can while away the hours here, enjoying alfresco breakfasts and sunset drinks aplenty. We love the tiled details in the home too – especially in the green bathroom and behind the kitchenette – as well as the ornate copper fireplace in the master bedroom. Pietro and Gaia are a delight - he’s a painter and responsible for a lot of the art on display, and she’s done all manner of things work-wise, and is a qualified architect and tailor. They own a handful of homes across Italy that they rent out and so are extremely experienced hosts. Though it might not always be them checking you in - they often use a lockbox system - they are always available via phone for their guests if they have any questions, great or small.
