Inside, Clockwork is fine. There are more spectacular interiors about, but there’s a nice floor, and it’s generally elegant and comfortable (though we would only suggest six guests at a time). The real draw is the view from the living room, directly onto Piazza di Sant’Apollonia, one of the most beautiful squares in the city. There’s also a big terrace at the back, tailor-made for aperitivo. As a whole, the place isn’t in perfect condition - if you’re after somewhere pristine then this isn’t for you - but the terrace and the view really are worth it.
