Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

For an area steeped in such a rich history, this modern art-deco apartment comes as a pleasant surprise. Tastefully furnished, you'll find a bright white living space with sleek marble floors and an intricate marble fireplace at its heart. Effortlessly chic, there's plenty of light-filled spots to unwind with a good book or flick through a magazine. From elegant mid-century furnishings, funky lighting, geometric patterns and quirky mirrors, the home exudes Italian artistic flair. It’s a bit off the main tourist path, but that's one of the reasons we love it. You're right by the Basilica di San Giovanni - which is the cathedral of Rome and the official seat of the Pope - as well as a mainline metro station that is your passage to the Eternal City. Another major draw is one of the seven wonders of the world – the emblematic Colosseum – lies a mere nineteen-minutes walk away. Back from sightseeing, head out onto your idyllic little balcony, with views of the San Giovanni in the distance, and relish the last of the evening sun while limoncello-sipping the summer by.

About Tuscolano

Beyond the railway station, Tuscolano doesn’t have architecture to match some of the other parts of the city, but its streets are filled with green, and it has several nice restaurants and a couple of lovely parks. It’s generally a very safe area, with great transport links as the metro runs into the city along Via Appia Nuova - you can get all the way to the Vatican without changing lines.

Host

This home is managed by Carmela

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. They say that you should find something you love to do, and get someone to pay you to do it. Carmela used to live abroad, and when she came back she realised that she missed living in an environment where you could meet people from all over the world. In order to scratch that itch, she began to look after flats so that such interactions could become part of her daily life. That was in 2015 and she’s still going strong.

This home is a Plum Guide Award winner.
