This eclectic – some might say eccentric – home is an eye-catching cacophony of wooden artefacts, creamy-coloured macrame and potted plants. It’s packed to the rafters with objets d’art from around the world and things that have been reclaimed and repurposed. And it all sings together quite nicely thanks to the neutral tones. It’s clearly a home that has absorbed a lot of love, from the rough-hewn petrified wood sinks to the intricately carved beds. There’s plenty to marvel at. We love the quirky kitchen with a table which was once a floor, copper sinks and lights suspended from a huge wooden beam. It’s a generous, Victorian home with a large back garden on a quiet street but close to London’s sights. Lewisham DLR and train station is a ten-minute walk away. St. John's train station is a five-minute walk away and from there it’s just six minutes into London Bridge. Nearby there are plenty of pubs, cafes and shops within walking distance. Book The Greenwich Star now: from £115 per night A sweet, colourful and contemporarily decorated two bedroom home in a unique location. I was immediately struck by the sense of quiet and calm that inundates the space, barely a peep can be heard whilst staying here. Whilst the Greenwich location may not be for everyone, those who want to experience a different side of London will love the quintessentially British and picturesque street that this home sits in. The Greenwich Star is a great choice for a small family or group of friends who want to experience Greenwich and the plentiful attractions that the area offers. Book The Blue Quay now: from £186 per night While this home with its stunning views could pass on its own merits, the combination of the building’s communal spaces really impressed us. There’s a gym on the thirty-fourth floor (with even more views) a resident's lounge, leafy terrace, cinema room and a communal dining space to entertain large groups. The home itself is not huge, but it benefits from having a neutral, modern interior and comfort cooling system. Book Fresh Blend now: from £130 per night Set within the brand new City Island, full of manicured squares and mostly pedestrian streets, this home feels completely contemporary. The finishes in the kitchen and bathroom in particular are high quality. While the location isn’t central, the proximity to Canary Wharf and the City would make this a good fit for business travellers. Set out over two floors, the tall windows in the home give you pleasant views of the river.
