Beaming With Delight

Beaming With Delight, Plum Guide home in New York

Click to book Beaming With Delight now: from £173 per night What was once a cork factory has since been renovated to reveal its beautiful & unique characteristics in industrial-style loft apartments. Situated in Greenpoint Brooklyn, it'd only make sense to highlight the stripped wooden beams and brick walls in this loft. The kitchen doesn't get a ton of natural light, but we're being nit-picky here. It's otherwise a nice choice outside the hustle and bustle of the city. Sleeps up to 2 | 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom

Checkerboard Dreams

Checkerboard Dreams, Plum Guide home in New York

Click to book Checkerboard Dreams now: from £13.64 per night With its characterful vintage townhouses, proximity to cultural hotspots such as the New York Public Library, and an overall slower pace of life, it's easy to see why Murray Hill is fast becoming a magnet for edgy graduates, trendy young professionals, and families. And you'll immediately want to join them once you've stayed at this rare Manhattan gem perched near the East River and just an eight-minute walk from Grand Central station. Design-wise, it's certainly pleasing to the eye. Crisp white walls are punctuated with cheerful splashes of burnt orange and a beautiful wooden chequerboard floor throughout creates a nice zen-like flow between the rooms. But the highlight for us isn't the chic interior, nor even the private balcony with scenic river views, it's the building's gorgeous glass-panelled swimming pool with its intricately mosaicked floor. On the rare days you don't make it to the pool (or the on-site gym), there's more than enough space for living room yoga on that stylish, striped rug. If you fancy upping the relaxation, there's nowhere better than the sun-drenched roof deck with its comfortable seating areas and stunning views of the Empire State Building. However, there's a large communal lounge too should the weather take a turn. Sleeps up to 4 | 2 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms

Click to book White Paint Splash now: from £282 per night Effortlessly chic, modern, and accompanied by skyscraper views over the city – this home really belongs in New York. Located in the bustling hubbub of commerce and cultural attractions, find yourself in Midtown – the beating heart of Manhattan. Take in your surroundings on top of the Empire State Building (fifteen minutes on foot), stop off for a pretzel or bagel on your way to Central Park, just a thirty-minute stroll, and make sure to take the twenty-minute walk to Times Square for the quintessential NYC experience of neon-lit billboards, vibrant bars, and authentic American diners. Back home, the light-filled living space benefits from an open-plan concept that creates a sociable and seamless area to unwind. Mixing soft thoughtful furnishings with vintage rugs, leather chairs, a hand-crafted coffee table and sleek wooden flooring makes for a relaxing and appealing space to kick back with a good book, map out your day of sightseeing, or look through new purchases. Elsewhere in the building, you'll be able to keep up your morning workout routine at the gym and bookmark the day with sundown drinks on the communal rooftop terrace, offering skyline vistas of the Big Apple.
