Click to book Cloncurry Street now: from £623 per night Here is a home full of character and charm, close to eating options galore, shops and parks. Locally, you’ll want for nothing. For extra exploring, jump on the tube (Parsons Green station is a stroll away) and catch a show. Get your culture fix at the V&A, just twenty minutes walk away. As for the house itself, we can’t get enough of the homely vibe here. Everything has been designed with comfort in mind. The sink-in sofa by the big bay windows has been perfectly placed for chats with the nominated cook in the huge, fully stocked kitchen. We're big fans of the impressive conservatory which opens out through french doors into a well kept, cobbled garden. Kids will love the wooden swing. They’ll love their bedrooms too, all kitted out with books and toys. A second living room means little ones can have their own space to play and watch TV, while the grown-ups gather downstairs. This is a proper home-from-home, and one we predict you’ll return to. Sleeps up to 7 | 4 Bedrooms | 4 Bathrooms

Click to book Alone in Kyoto now: from £295 per night A large one-bedroom apartment in a well-connected West London neighbourhood – what's not to love? There's a surprising amount of space considering it's only set up for two, while its evident design nous and high-spec appliances let you know that your hosts pay attention to the things that matter. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the open living room/kitchen maximise the available light while soothing shades of greens and pink sit alongside vibrant blues, combining to create a space that's an absolute pleasure to spend time in. And while the colour palette might vary in the bedroom, the design ethos is very much the same. Step out and explore the streets of Kensington and Shepherd's Bush. Within a ten-minute walk, you can be browsing the boutiques of Kensington High Street or wandering through the vastness of Westfield London, where you'll find all your favourite shops and restaurants nestled side by side. While Kensington Olympia is closest, Shepherd's Bush tube station is better served and still only a ten-minute walk away. From here, you can take the Underground to the likes of Oxford Circus, St Paul's Cathedral and Liverpool St – a stone's throw from trendy Shoreditch. Sleeps up to 2 | 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom

Also close by is Holland Park – a ten-minute walk – which is the perfect spot for morning jogs and evening strolls in the fresh air. When you're not out exploring this pocket of the city, you'll probably be unwinding in the roomy living area, curled up on the plush sofa or rustling up dinner in the modern kitchen. This pad feels luxurious with marble backsplash, bright windows, and gold accents, yet it's still a comfortable place to rest your legs. The quaint balcony is our favourite spot – start the day out there with a cup of tea and watch the world wake up with the sun.
