Board Above, San Diego & Oceanside, USA
Click to book Board Above now: from £789 per night This home celebrates the surf culture that Mission Bay is famous for. Ocean lovers will love this house, as the beach is just across Mission Boulevard, 100 yards to the west. Settle into the laid-back lifestyle as you open up the second-floor balcony to those sea breezes. The open-plan kitchen, dining room and living space is vibrant and cheerful, with a distinctly tropical theme. Bright pops of colour can be found everywhere in this home, from the characterful wall art to the stylish dinnerware and blankets in the bedroom. Thanks to large windows, the sun shines into this home as much as it does outside. After a morning catching the waves, replenish your energy with a barbecue on the sheltered terrace. The outdoor space is shielded from the neighbours and can be directly accessed from the master bedroom. Sleeps up to 10 | 3 Bedrooms | 3 Bathrooms
On Heathered Moor, North Yorkshire, UK
Click to book On Heathered Moor now: from £241 per night This pretty retreat is in the historic market town of Helmsley, sits on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. The 110 mile-long Cleveland Way National Trail begins in Helmsley and takes you through the heather-clad hills of the Moors to the cliffs and coast of Filey Brigg – a nine-day trek in total, but you can stop your car at any point along its length. Making this cosy cottage the perfect base for a walking or cycling holiday. Warm interiors offer a serene space to relax after a hike on the Moors and an inviting space for socialising over a board game by the woodstove. Pour a glass of wine and put your feet up in the living room, before getting some "me time" with a pamper session in the luxurious bathrooms – two of which have their own TVs. With your favourite soundtrack playing through the Sonos Soundsystem in the background rustle up some comfort food in the kitchen for an evening in. On warmer days, dine alfresco out on the patio amidst the fresh country air. The local area of Hemsley offers a lot to feast on too– from eateries to homely pubs to tea rooms and a quintessential Yorkshire market square. Not to mention a fabulous array of boutique shops to wander around on rainy afternoons. Sleeps up to 6 | 3 Bedrooms | 4 Bathrooms
Soho State Of Mind, London, UK
Click to book Soho State Of Mind now: from £150 per night Deciding where to stay in London can be tricky. Go east for gritty, hipster hangouts? Or west, for the huge open spaces and swish designer boutiques? Well, we think there's only one answer – stay as central as you can. And it doesn't get any more heart-of-the-action than this chic, modern flat just a few steps from Shaftesbury Avenue. The boutiques in Covent Garden, nightlife in Soho, shows in the West End and food of Chinatown are all just a stroll away. But it's not just the location that makes this home so special – we loved the interior, too. There's a cool Scandi feel about the decor, with large prints on the wall, Hem designer furniture and leafy houseplants dotted about. Everything you'll need is taken care of, be it crisp white linens and plenty of crockery to Netflix on the TV and toiletries in the bathroom. Our favourite spot was the bedroom, with its Juliet balcony and huge built-in wardrobes that make unpacking a dream – you'll have more than enough space to try on outfits before heading out for a night on the town. Whether you're unwinding with a glass of wine and a film on the cushy sofa, sharing a meal around the table or snoozing in the bed, we think you'll love calling this contemporary pad home during a say in the Big Smoke. Sleeps up to 2 | 1 Bedroom | 1 Bathroom
Tending the Light, Suffolk, UK
Click to book Tending the Light now: from £225 per night High ceilings and vast windows mean you’ll be basking in light in this modern apartment. And the view from the open-plan living room, out over Tibby’s Green, is just another bonus. Head out to the private terrace for a spot of alfresco dining and enjoy a view of the orange rooftops and Church spire before you. Powder blues and lightwood give a distinctly beachy feel inside, and the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. For days when cooking is off the agenda, the home is strolling distance to fish and chip shops or several local pubs. Adnams Brewery is not far and offers tastings and tours – after which, you’ll be more than grateful for the comfy king-sized bed at home. In the quintessentially English seaside town of Southwold, you’re in a perfect position for exploring the Suffolk Coast. It's less than a ten-minute walk to the beach with its collection of brightly coloured beach huts. Sleeps up to 4 | 2 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms
Redwood, Milan, Italy
Click to book Redwood now: from £276 per night What makes this sleek apartment special is the unbeatable location. It's only a short walk from Milan's iconic Duomo – reachable in about five minutes door-to-door – and off a busy main road with plenty of transport links. This locale may not be as charming as other neighbourhoods, but you'll find many bars and restaurants practically on your doorstep, so it's a great option for those wanting to be smack-dab in the centre of the action. Come home after an adventure-filled day and make yourself comfortable. Share a bottle of Italian wine around the dining table (you can even see the top of the Duomo out the window), then sprawl out on the sofa for a Netflix movie night. The design veers towards minimal and modern, but we didn't mind as the rooms are nicely sized and filled with light – plus the second bedroom even has a small balcony. Both bathrooms are super smart – one comes with a luxurious rainfall shower – but the compact kitchenette is definitely on the smaller side. If that doesn't bother you, though, you've got a solid option on your hands. Sleeps up to 6 | 2 Bedrooms | 2 Bathrooms
