The Eclectic Nest, London

STEPHANIE

Stephanie, Plum Guide host, lying on bed

Meet Stephanie, the proud host of The Eclectic
Nest. Stephanie purchased this apartment as a
bare shell in 2010. The shell was within a
gorgeous red brick 1930’s block 5 minutes walk
from Brixton Village. This was the perfect clean
slate for Stephanie to voice her fantastic
aesthetic, style and artistry to create her home.

Once Stephanie and her wonderful team of
builders, plumbers, craftsmen had finished the
core structure, Stephanie had the creative dream
of making her home come alive with all the
gorgeous trinkets & artefacts she’d collected over
the years.

Stephanie refers to her bedroom as her
‘Sanctuary.’ She’s collected artefacts from all over
the world during her travels, from car boot sales
up and down the country, flea markets and
rummaged through charity stores. But despite the
huge amount of accumulation, the ‘The
Sanctuary’ remains relatively clutter free and is
her favourite place to wind down.

When you do have so many beautiful objects,
they should all be on display says Stephanie.
That’s the reason for her open shelves
throughout the apartment. Her day to day job
involves styling and you can definitely tell.

Her dream job would be to run a whole string
of Brixton based holiday apartments which she
could individually decorate for her guests to fall
in love with and marvel. You have the chance
to stay the night in exhibit #1 right now!
