We especially love the open-plan living space, with its exposed brick walls and sleek kitchen, fully-equipped with home chefs in mind. Spend mornings roosted at the centrepiece dining table, fuelling up on coffee and breakfast before a day of exploring. You couldn't be in a better position to do so, with Løkken's town centre just a ten-minute walk from your doorstep. Spend your days strolling through the quaint streets of this former fishing village turned bustling seaside bolthole, sampling the local cuisine, or enjoy a game at Løkken golf course, a four-minute drive away.

Rosy Starling

North Jutland’s Jammer Bay is a vast body of water offering a calmer setting than dramatic cliffs and fjords. Along its shores, fishing villages line sandy beaches and picture-perfect camping spots. Lyngby is one of these – your home is located just five minutes from the local beach and a six-minute drive from the larger town of Løkken (not that we think you’ll want to stray that far away).

Danish holidaymakers love this sunny isle, where houses like yours are the perfect abode for activities as well as relaxation. In a nod to traditional architecture, the apex roof and bright terracotta slates create a cheery scene, surrounded by lush green lawns. But you can notice the sophisticated edge, even from the outside – solar panels and a glass balcony give you a subtle sign that this house is all set for modern luxuries.

On sunny days, slide open the glass doors and dine alfresco, having prepared some tasty Danish-style cuisine in the high-spec kitchen.

While this area is known for its spectacular white-sand beaches, it's also home to an array of characterful towns and villages. The fishing community of Løkken is less than a ten-minute drive away, while the larger seaport of Hirtshals can be reached in just half an hour.

Sollys

Bringing soothing monotone colours and light that streams through the windows to give you an open airy sense, this home is perfect for a calm getaway. Cook up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy a scrummy breakfast around the dining table. Head outdoors and appreciate the meadows you are surrounded by while sharing a chat outside, with a cup of coffee in hand to keep you warm.

Drive nine minutes to Lokken Strand and spend hours splashing in the ocean or relaxing on the beautiful beach, and don't forget to find ice cream to enjoy whilst the waves crash against the coast. If you walk northwards down the shore, you'll come upon Second World War concrete bunkers, one for the history buffs. When you're in the mood for activities, head to the green and grab some golf clubs for a game around the course when the afternoon swings around. Ready for some family fun? Visit the farm just down the road for an exciting day out with the entire family stroking the adorable animals.


The Very Essence

We love the neutral colour palette and the various wooden accents scattered about, contributing to the overall laid-back, beach house vibe. Lounge about in the comfy living area, which also features a wood burner for extra warmth should a chillier night catch you by surprise. The sparkling modern kitchen will inspire you to rustle up delicious meals, which you can then enjoy at the beautifully crafted dining table indoors, or better still, head out and gather everyone to take advantage of the barbecue and the gorgeous views from the terrace dining area. 

Later you can join the family for some fun and games, courtesy of the activity room, which boasts everything from a pool table to table tennis and darts – or if you’d rather pamper yourself, why not sweat the stresses of everyday life in the sauna or soak leisurely in the luxurious hot tub. Sweet dreams will find you in the comfy bedrooms upstairs – awake rested and refreshed, ready for another day of Nordic adventures. From the windows up here you’ll be greeted by glistening sea views – you can be on the beach in under ten minutes by walking. 

Go out and explore the charming fishing village, or take the short drive to the resort town of Løkken. Beyond, you’ll find this area rich in natural treasures, including Denmark’s first national park in Thy, and countless picturesque hiking and cycling trails.

A Sea Melody

This typically Danish home is just a short jaunt from the sea. There’s plenty of room for a big group to spread out – in the open living area where the kitchen, dining room and living room combine in a medley of lightwood and glass. The kitchen is super sleek in slate-grey granite and with a huge chrome fridge and there’s room for the whole group to dine around the long dining table.  Should the weather turn, there’s a modern wood-burning stove to keep things cosy-warm and a separate games room offers a place to keep young ones entertained. 
 
The home is surrounded by a big patio where outdoor dining is on offer on sunny days, courtesy of a barbecue. The jewel in the crown here is the hot tub which can be fired up for a soak under the stars. There’s a dedicated kennel for dogs if you’re bringing a four-legged friend (the beach is great for walkies), and this place is set up to keep the kids entertained too, with a swing set and slide. Plus, a little sandpit lets you know you’re practically on the beach. Follow the path through the grassland to reach the long stretch of sand at Løkken Strand for dog walks, evening stroll or a day paddling in the sea.

Follow the Strand

Being situated in the small seaside town of Løkken, you'll be glad to know stunning sandy beaches are within walking distance. Løkken Strand is a must-visit for sandy dunes, and it's only an eighteen-minute walk. Look out for World War II bunkers here on the 19km sandy stretch. The town itself offers plentiful options of restaurants serving the catch of the day, alongside other locally sourced dishes and drinks. Make sure to try the locally-brewed beer!
