Those seeking a central location will love this modern apartment next to Madrid’s Plaza Mayor. With endless tapas bars and cultural landmarks on your doorstep, you’ll need only walk a few steps off your doorstep – though if you feel like taking public transport, Callao metro station is a short walk away. Back home, the terrace feels like a sanctuary away from the bustle of the city, and the interiors boast plenty of natural light. The bedrooms are comfortable and minimal, though the pull-out in the second bedroom might not be for every guest. That said, the stellar locale and mod cons are everything you’d want from a city stay.

Sangria & Sun

Step into the heart of Madrid with a stay in this contemporary loft. From the simple aesthetic to the functional design, this is a great option for couples and solo travellers in search of a refreshing city stay. At full occupancy, two guests will be sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room and the main bedroom is located on the mezzanine level (with no door), but you’ll find all the essentials needed to make it your own. Outside, it’s just a short stroll to local tapas bars, shops and iconic sights like the Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid. 


Madrid's Sky Loft

With a fantastic address, just off the Paseo de la Castellana, this apartment has a wealth of attractions nearby. The upmarket districts of Salamanca, Chamberi and Justicia are all close, so you'll have plenty of fine restaurants, chic boutiques and art galleries to enjoy. With one of Madrid's main avenues on your doorstep, the slight downside is you will hear some street noise here, but it's easily fixed with some earplugs if you're a light sleeper. We have to say, we love the views over Plaza Villa de París from this home. The kitchen is well-equipped, so you can cook some homemade meals or let your host arrange a private chef to create some of your favourite tapas dishes.

Plaza París Haven

A modern and practical base in the vibrant and multicultural Lavapiés neighbourhood, this apartment offers a fuss-free stay on the doorstep of the Tabacalera cultural centre and Reina Sofía Museum. Some of Madrid’s most eclectic restaurants are on the doorstep, though your kitchenette is well-equipped for nights cooking at home. It’s worth noting there isn’t a lot of natural light here, but the decor is contemporary and has all the basics you could need for an easygoing stay. 

The City in My Pocket

With Calle Gran Vía close by, this home will definitely appeal to shopaholics. You'll also find plenty of amazing restaurants and bars in the vicinity. Attractions within walking distance include Plaza Canovas del Castillo with its Fountain of Neptune and vibrant La Plaza de Chueca. Back at this apartment, we love the French doors that open out onto Juliet balconies. There's a separate, compact but well-equipped kitchen for creating some tasty tapas, too. This home is ideal for couples or business travellers seeking an elegant base in a fantastic location.

Heart of Madrid Haven

Location is all important for city breaks, and this apartment has a winning location. It’s in the heart of La Latina, one of the most traditional neighbourhoods in Madrid. You’ll be just a short stroll from Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor and will have your pick of bars, restaurants, and cafes nearby. This comes in particularly handy because there’s not a huge amount of space for socialising in the apartment – but you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable place to rest your head. 

La Latina's Heart

This apartment might be petite, but it's packed with style and offers a brilliant location in the heart of Madrid. Ideal for couples or solo travellers, it's a great place to eat, sleep and chill out in comfortable yet chic surroundings. 

Open the front door, and you'll feel instantly at ease, thanks to the sophisticated neutral colour palette. The squashy sofa invites you to relax, while the large windows flood the living area with natural light. Budding chefs will love practising their favourite dishes in the kitchen, and serving up their creations at the elegant dining table – don't forget to pour a couple of glasses of Spanish red wine too. 

If you'd rather someone else took on catering duties, then there are plenty of restaurants on and around the Plaza de Alonso Martínez, just a four-minute walk away. The iconic shopping street, Calle de Fuencarral, is less than ten minutes away on foot, and you'll also find several museums and galleries nearby. Plus, if you want to venture further afield, then simply hop on the metro – the closest station is just three minutes away. 

Sunflower Dreams

This bright and minimal apartment is a comfortable spot to base yourselves for a Madrid stay. Located in the Cuatro Caminos neighbourhood, you need only walk five minutes to the metro, where you can blaze a trail to the city's centre – it takes just twenty minutes to reach attractions like Plaza Mayor and the Royal Palace of Madrid. After a day of sightseeing, enjoy a refreshment over the Juliet balcony – though keep in mind there’s no room for seating out here. And if you’re visiting as a group of four, there’s a handy sofa bed in the living room.

Sunshine & Sangria

This cosy loft apartment lies in central Madrid, within walking distance of the city's best bits. You'll get plenty of natural light here, though it's worth noting that there aren't any black-out blinds or thick curtains, so you might want to bring an eye mask so the sun doesn't wake you. The kitchen is well-equipped and the sofa bed is suitable for an extra two people, but the sloping ceiling might be an issue for taller guests. When it's time to explore though, parking is available and public transport is close by, but you won't need a car to get the most out of your stay.

Orange & Lemons

Exposed brick, funky wallpaper – although this apartment is small, it certainly doesn't lack character. Perfect for two friends or two couples sharing, this pocket-sized pad makes an ideal base for exploring Madrid's cultural hotspots. It's situated near the Triangle of the Art, within walking distance of countless museums, theatres, and performing arts centres. Easy access to Delicias metro stop and Atocha Station makes zipping to and from the centre a breeze – just be sure to pack earplugs, since you'll be right in the hustle and bustle here.

Don Julio

There are plenty of tourist attractions within walking distance of this home. Go for riverside walks at the Parque Madrid Rio nearby, or visit the zoo and amusement park at Casa de Campo. Other places of interest include the Royal Palace and La Almudena Cathedral. There are plenty of eateries to sample, too, or head back to this apartment and cook some tapas dishes. All in all, we'd say this home is ideal for a business professional, solo traveller or couple.

Madrid Daydream

Ideally located within easy walking distance of some of Madrid’s most emblematic sights, this stylish apartment not only boasts a prime locale but also offers a wonderfully comfortable base from which to experience the city to its fullest.

Open up the living area’s French doors to perch by their Juliet balconies with a glass of Spanish wine, or gather around the beautiful dining table for a celebratory meal when you’re not out sampling the local tapas scene. With a pair of comfortable bedrooms – one of which has a desk space – as well as luxurious rainfall showers with which to greet each day, you’ve got everything you need for a carefree city stay. 
Outside of your home, you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to things to see and do nearby, including the Royal Palace of Madrid, Plaza Mayor, Gran Vía and lively La Latina’s myriad tapas bars and cantinas.
