Art Deco Amour

How's this Grade II listed waterfront home just off Falmouth's High Street float your boat? Perfect for a multi-generational family stay, there's room for twelve of you to pile in here across three spacious floors. Seeking a little more independence? The self-contained two-bedroom apartment on the lower floor will do nicely. Over in a separate outhouse, you'll find a heated pool and sauna. There's also a private slipway and pontoon with space to park your yacht. And we can't not mention the one-of-a-kind opulent interiors. A little fussy for some, but it's all part of this place's charm. 

The Sun at Eight

Sitting in the middle of a thirty-acre farm in the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this barn conversion is a fittingly impressive home for such an idyllic location. 

There are plenty of spots from which you can gaze out at the pretty meadows, woodland and the banks of the River Tamar that surround the address, whether that's out through the floor-to-ceiling windows that line the main living space or while seated on the roof terrace bordered by a leafy pergola. However, the home's interior is well worth your attention, too. Certain features have been retained from the building's industrious past, including wooden ceiling beams and exposed stonework, but otherwise, the design is bright and contemporary.

The number of amenities available to guests distinguishes this home from the pack. Not only is there a homely wood-burning stove in the main space, but there's a games room with a ping-pong table and darts board in a section that was once a cattle shed, plus lots of equipment for outdoor games beside the forecourt and lawned area. Here you will find tables, benches and additional seating for your exclusive use and space to stoke up barbecues and challenge the group to a variety of games.

Elsewhere on the site, there are the ruins of a silver and lead mine accompanied by the pumping engine house and smithy, part of the industrial landscape recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are other footpaths that lead off into the countryside, but you can also stroll down to the banks of the River Tamar, on which there's a two-hour window every day when it's safe to use it for water sports.

River To Sea

Situated in rural southeast Cornwall, a twelve-minute drive from East Looe Beach, this cabin allows guests to switch off and enjoy the countryside. There’s a working farm next door, so ask your host about enjoying free-range eggs for breakfast or get introduced to the chickens that roam the site. While the home sleeps four, we think the sofa bed in the living area is best suited to children, as space is limited here. Head outside for a firepit, barbecue and seating for late-night stargazing. 

Blackberry Cabin

'The Victoria's Haven' is a vintage-styled apartment, perched atop Penarwyn House, granting a peaceful escape in the vibrancy of Saint Blazey. Capturing the Victorian grandeur, it offers comfort with a touch of royalty. Guests can unwind in the lounge, watching Netflix on plush sofa or armchairs; enhanced with Wi-Fi and dedicated workspace to make working from home a charm. The equipped kitchen simplifies self-catering, whereas the private dining room adds to indulgence with garden views. A restful king-size bed and private bathroom featuring overhead shower, provide ultimate relaxation after Cornwall explorations. The Victoria's Haven

Only a ten-minute drive from the cobbled streets of Polperro and the bustling harbour town of Looe, this studio apartment is a countryside hideaway. Part of a converted hotel, the home is set in the rolling fields of Cornwall. We love to run an evening bath in the outdoor tub and watch the sunset over the hills. The small plot is great for a solo stay or romantic retreat – with a comfy king-size bed and small kitchenette to cook up light meals and breakfasts. The hosts are particularly attentive and bursting with recommendations and helpful tips. Lace up your walking boots: there are paths to explore on the four acres of land the home is set on, or drive to the nearby South West Coast Path for tramps over coastal cliffs. On sunny days, it's a quick journey to Cornwall's most beautiful beaches. We love Lantic Bay, a sheltered cove that's only accessible by foot, for a sense of privacy. For dinner, it's best to head out and make the most of the abundance of seafood in this region.

Oak Loft

Located in the heart of the charming harbour town of Porthleven in West Cornwall, this cottage boasts a prime central location and is just a stone's throw away from a beautiful beach and a thriving food scene, with an array of excellent restaurants and cafes nearby.

Charming Cove Retreat

Perched just above the quaint fishing village of Mevagissey and the sparkling English Channel, this Edwardian home treats guests to gorgeous views of the landscape through the large bay windows — not to mention from the tables on the terraces.

Don't be fooled into thinking that the address is nothing more than a vantage point, however. Despite the property's history, the design is contemporary in flavour, with pieces from local Cornish artists adorning some walls and boldly patterned wallpaper covering others. Those with musical talents will melt at the sight of the walnut Art Deco piano in the hallway, while the sleek kitchen is a thing of beauty as well, particularly with the spaceship-esque extractor fan and chic breakfast bar seating. 

If the weather's playing ball during your stay, you're more than welcome to cook up something on the barbecue, perhaps some seafood bought from the centre of Mevagissey just over five minutes' walk away. There are plenty of restaurants nearby too, as well as a museum and the South West Coast Path running past.

Tucked away on a cobbled street just a stone’s throw from Newlyn’s harbour, this pod cabin invites you to relax, unwind and find your coastal bliss. There’s a cosy intimacy to this charming space with its arched ceilings and white panelled walls that feels ship-like, reflecting your pretty fishing town’s setting. A cosy bed, a rainfall shower and an open-plan main room create a welcoming and comfortable canvas for a dreamy stay, while the private fairytale garden is a guaranteed showstopper. This homely home has everything you could want while you’re away, making it the perfect base camp for exploring this stunning stretch of coastline. There’s no wi-fi here, but we don’t count this as a negative – what better way to truly switch off and simply enjoy the company of those you love and the beauty of the natural landscape around you? Perfect for small families, if a day at the beach hasn’t tired your children out, there’s a generous communal garden here. So, pour yourself a refreshingly cold cider, step outside and watch on as the children race around, burning off the last of their energy. If your four-pawed furry sidekick has joined you on holiday too, you can guarantee they’ll be joining in the fun.

When it’s time to head out from your rustic retreat, the popular seaside town of Bude is just under three miles away. Well worth a visit, you’ll find yourself lost exploring the sandy beaches and endless choice of quirky shops, cafes and restaurants, where you can enjoy some freshly caught seafood. This place is just made for making memories. 

Rustic Serenity

In a tightly contested field, St Ives is one of the most idyllic coastal towns in all of Cornwall, a fact that you'll come to appreciate when gazing out the bay window in the living room of this home. From the comfort of a cosy chair, you can gaze out across the glistening bay and beaches in the distance.

Swivel around in your seat and you'll find a home that keeps it reassuringly safe and simple with the design, with white walls, wooden floors and the odd piece of nautically themed artwork making for a space that's instantly calming.
