Based in the province of Perugia on the eastern coast, here you'll be just a short drive from some wonderful beaches for sunbathing, as well as the historic city of Pesaro for sightseeing. You'll have your own private pool here where you can spend the day splashing away, and there are also places to dine and recline alfresco in absolute peace. Inside, the decor is very traditional, verging on old-fashioned in places – but we love the unique vibe it gives the home.

Classical Chorus

Whether you’re in search of a romantic escape, a solo retreat or a restorative Italian adventure, this home welcomes you to enjoy it all with an abundance of charm and character. 

Sitting peacefully in the countryside of Carovigno with the beaches of Torre Guaceto just a short drive away, this is the perfect opportunity to embrace the magic of Italian living. From slow mornings sipping coffee on the shady terrace to cooling dips in the pool and lazy barbecue lunches, it’s easy to settle in and move to your own rhythm here. And for those days when you feel like exploring further afield, make the short drive to the seafront, follow one of the nearby hiking and cycle trails or visit the majestic old towns of Ostuni and Cisternino – both within easy driving distance. 

Wherever the day takes you, by night this home transforms into an intimate rural sanctuary – perfect for lingering al fresco meals and stargazing. 

Moonlight Memories

Sardinia’s coastal regions feature some of the Mediterranean’s most pristine beaches and clearest waters. While vibrant port towns and quaint villages pepper the island, the natural world dominates. It's a sensory experience of bright colours and scents of wild herbs and flowers – and even better, you can experience it all from home. 

Surrounded by tall, swaying trees and verdant lawns, you might be surprised that this resort is only a seven-minute walk from Pitrizza Beach. But rather than wild swimming, you can take a dip in one of the two outdoor pools (or sip chilled white wine at the poolside). It’s a true delight to wander through its vast gardens, taking in fresh fragrances and listening to the birds chirp in the afternoon sun.

As you arrive at the villa you can call home, you’ll love the stone walls and terracotta roof tiles – very traditional. Inside the apartment, timber beams on the ceiling offer another rustic element, painted in an elegant cream to bring the space up to date. While a calming cream-and-white colour scheme continues throughout, the homely, floral bedspread is a final nod to nature. Pure bliss.

Fragrant Fennel

Set less than one hundred metres from Ceglie Messapica's bustling pedestrianised hub and just an easy drive from the coast and Ostuni, the location of this apartment is spot-on. While the period home's vaulted ceilings and exposed stonework are impressive, there are a few compromises to make. Expect a small kitchenette that's better suited to lighter bites rather than large slap-up meals, and there's no outdoor space to speak of. But for a bolthole this characterful, we can forgive that.

Olives & Honey

This charming apartment is based in a beautiful palazzo in Orvieto. The small city on a cliff in Umbria is a great choice of base for those seeking an Italian break that’s a little bit different. You’ll be surrounded by the history and culture of Italy’s bigger cities, but will be able to enjoy a quieter visit. This apartment boasts a petite Juliet balcony where you can look out over Orvieto’s rooftops, the garden, and a 1000-year-old church. The fully-equipped kitchen makes dining in a breeze, and the espresso machine is a big help in the morning. 

Pastel Paint

Housed in a grand palazzo, this apartment is a great choice for a couple or solo traveller seeking a sleek home-from-home in Orvieto. We love that it looks out over a 1000-year-old church and the rooftops of Orvieto. The decor blends contemporary art with antique furnishings, with all the modern amenities you’d hope for during a restful break. You’re just a short walk from Orvieto’s cathedral and other key sights – this is a comfortable and convenient option. 

Il Rosa

In the very heart of Gallipoli’s historic centre, this apartment embraces the ancient and feels like a piece of history itself. The walled old town of Gallipoli juts out from Italy’s heel into the azure Adriatic where fishermen fix their nets and Italians flock here in summer for the sultry southern heat. This apartment sits in the narrow streets, where family-run restaurants have been serving fresh seafood for centuries and chi chi little cafés have cropped up in between ancient churches.

French doors open straight from the narrow street into the living area, which still retains ancient stone archways and barrel-vault ceilings. A design palette of bright white and honey-brown matches the historic touches of this apartment and slipping off to sleep in the boho-chic bedroom is a delight. The kitchenette may not have an oven, but there’s enough here to accommodate breakfast, quick meals and morning espressos. Besides, the charming restaurants of the old city are on your doorstep, so who wants to bother cooking anyway? 

The Fisherman's Rest

Often overlooked for its showier cousin – Costa Smeralda – the authentic port town of Olbia remains relatively untouched by tourism. Discover its charms at this dazzling new apartment overlooking the waterfront and just a short walk from the town's historic centre, crammed with boutiques, wine bars and a restaurant-lined plaza. More like a hotel room than an apartment – it's important to note there's no kitchen or living area here. However, that private terrace overlooking the sea is a nice touch for morning cuppas, and there's a coffee pod machine to kickstart your days.


The Olive Jam

Set within an expansive estate in Umbria, this villa was once a 13th-century water mill. Beautifully restored, it offers a range of impressive facilities that make for a relaxing retreat. From the underground Jacuzzi to the sauna and outdoor pool, you can enjoy private spa days here, making it the perfect choice for a romantic getaway. Close to a stream and surrounded by greenery, you’ll have plenty of peace and quiet here, while many of the area’s well-known towns like Perugia, Arezzo and Siena are within easy driving distance when you fancy a change of scene. 


Umbrian Bliss

By the beaches of Sorrento, this hotel-style room is the perfect pad for solo travellers or couples. Location-wise, you're in the heart of the town, with the port just a short walk away. There isn't a kitchen here – just a kettle and a microwave – but this enviable spot means there's a great selection of local eateries and bars to try out nearby. Inside, there's a dedicated (albeit small) workspace, so it's suitable for those on business trips. The freestanding bathtub is also a nice bonus. That said, our favourite feature is the private balcony, providing the perfect place to unwind with an Aperol Spritz in the evening sun.

Seashells in Sorrento

This apartment is a real gem. It's well-placed to explore Capri's landmarks – the Gardens of Augustus and Krupp Street are both easily reached on foot – and you'll find plenty of restaurants and boutiques nearby, too. It's on the smaller side, but it's a great size for two and the artwork is quintessentially Italian. The bedroom is on the mezzanine, so there's a separate space to snuggle up after sightseeing, but the kitchenette is compact so dining out might be a good idea. For a romantic trip to one of Italy's most famous islands, this is an excellent choice.

The Art Connoisseur

Located in the hilltop town Taormina, this villa offers stunning views of the sprawling cliffs which drop down to Ionian, sea-forming coves and powdery sand beaches. With stretches of green garden and encumbering mountain views, this peaceful spot has everything you need for a blissful coastal break.

With prime Sicilian temperatures, it’s not surprising this home promotes outdoor living. This home has a hydromassage pool as well as a pristine swimming pool, a four-poster daybed for siestas under the shade and a cool, curtained patio which is perfect for balmy, alfresco dinners prepared by a private chef if you so wish. 

When you need a repose from the sun, retreat to the inside where you’ll find an oasis of amenities. The natural design aesthetic blends with minimal leather furnishings and cooling glass accents to create a laid-back energy that synchronises with the outside’s coastal spirit. The white sofas are a perfect spot to read or listen to a podcast - or head to the kitchen to prepare a light lunch of Sicilian tomatoes and local burrata.  
 
If you want to get out and explore, beeline for Isola Bella to admire the island’s nature reserve and shallow blue waters (only a twenty-minute drive away) or drive an hour to indulge the day at Mount Etna, where you’ll be spoilt with volcanic landscapes, unfolding vineyards and lava flow caves.
