With everything you need for a short city break or extended stay, this functional home in the hip Rua das Flores neighbourhood is an ideal base for a couple or solo travellers. The central location means you've got plenty to see nearby, and São Bento Metro Station is a short walk away too. Self-check-in ensures arrivals are a breeze, while the kitchenette lets you choose between eating in and exploring the many eateries on your doorstep. It is a studio flat, but the wall between the dining area and bedroom divides the home nicely, and the tall French doors let in plenty of sunshine.

Bohemian Den

Set in the heart of downtown Porto, this apartment is close to Porto's main squares and landmarks, such as the Chapel of Souls. We love this home's private, sunny terrace here – the perfect spot for breakfast or cocktails in the evening. Inside, there's a well-equipped kitchen if you want to try your hand at creating some Portuguese cuisine, and there's a desk if you need to catch up on some work. This place will appeal to business professionals, couples and families. You may have to toss a coin to see who gets the bedroom that opens onto the terrace, though.

Downtown Porto’s Charm

With an address in Porto's vibrant Rua de Santa Catarina, this home is ideal if you love shopping. There are plenty of restaurants to sample, too, and an array of attractions within walking distance. We love that this home has a balcony – though the views aren't the most inspiring, it's good to have some outdoor space. There's also not much food preparation space in the compact kitchen, but it's well equipped, so you can try your hand at making some Portuguese dishes.

Reflections of Porto

This apartment's location has the best of both worlds. It's just a four-minute walk to Pastoras Beach (one of many beaches within walking distance), while the São João da Foz Fortress is just three minutes on foot. The city of Porto is just a short drive away too. Back at this home, there's a bit of a tree house vibe (you have to like wood, as there's lots of it). We do like the views of the verdant trees and the window seats here. The open-plan living room is spacious, which is handy, as at full capacity, two people will be sleeping on the sofa bed. 

Anchor Point

With its great location in trendy Rua das Flores, this functional home places the best of the Porto on your doorstep. The river is just a fifteen-minute walk away, while the local area is teeming with historic buildings, eateries, bars, and more. Arrival is easy thanks to the self-check-in, and the kitchenette has everything needed if you want to cook. Being a studio flat, you won't find much space here, but with that location, we think you'll be outside more often than not.

Heartbeat of Porto

We'll start with the location of this studio-style home. It's a short walk from Rua de Santa Catarina, with its many boutiques, so it's sure to appeal to shoppers. Plenty of restaurants are nearby, too, which is convenient as this home's compact kitchen has no oven. It does have a microwave, though, so it's okay for cooking light meals. Thanks to two large windows, the apartment is light and bright. We should mention that these open onto the street, so be prepared to say hello to passers-by.

Porto Rose

This apartment in the very heart of Porto, just a five-minute walk from the Livraria Lello and Clerigos Church and Tower, is the ideal base for any group visiting the city. The private balcony boasts views of the cathedral and a seating area for enjoying a glass of Portuguese wine. Head inside to find a bright living space with a desk for home working and a small but fully equipped kitchen. Should you prefer to try the local offerings, you’re footsteps away from a fine selection of restaurants.


A Slice of Porto

Situated a stone's throw from Porto's heart, this apartment is just a fifteen-minute walk from the grand Avenida dos Aliados. Or go for a stroll along the River Douro, which is ten minutes on foot. This home is set over two levels, with a bright living room and bedroom on the lower floor, while above that lies the kitchen diner. We'd say the kitchen is quite compact, but it's well-equipped should you want to try cooking some Portuguese classics. 

River Dance

Location, location, location. This apartment is right in the heart of Porto, making it a perfect fit for those looking to drop off their bags and explore the city. From here, it's a short stroll from the cultural attractions, waterfront bars and traditional restaurants. With that said, some street noise should be expected. Inside, it's a well-designed space with a dividing wall adding privacy. The kitchen is also well-equipped for prepping home-cooked meals when you're not out sampling the local cuisine. 

Times So Free

This apartment is perfect for those seeking a central spot in the heart of the city. Located in Lapa, you'll be able to walk to the city’s cultural hotspots and popular shopping streets, including Avenida dos Aliados and Rua Santa Catarina. And, with Faria Guimarães Metro station just steps away, transporting across the city is a breeze. From here, it's also seven kilometres from the coast with a wide choice of sandy beaches to enjoy. The home may be on the smaller side, but it offers a practical space for work or relaxation. Plus, you'll benefit from a private terrace with outdoor dining furniture and a lounge area, making it a great little find. 


The Ruby Sun

This unique studio apartment is tucked away in one of Porto’s most vibrant streets, Rua das Flores. It’s an excellent central base, within easy walking distance of Porto’s main attractions and lively squares. Inside the apartment, you’ll find a charming space ideal for two. It’s a studio but there’s still a decent amount of room, with a separate sitting area and a workspace. It’s sleek and modern, with everything you might need for a comfortable city break. 

Porto Prestige

Perched just seconds from Foz do Douro waterfront, with its vibey beach bars and sandy shores, you can see why this apartment caught our eye. While there’s no seafront views from the home, it won’t take you long to find them and there’s a tram nearby to hotfoot it into central Porto. While we can’t fault the home's spotless, minimalist interiors, it’s worth noting at full occupancy the last guest will be sleeping on a sofa bed in the lounge. We also think compared to the rest of the spacious home, the kitchen feels pocket-sized. But with a happening restaurant scene just a stroll away, we can forgive that.
