With a private rooftop terrace and more-is-more opulent interiors, you can see why this former mansion apartment in Old Jaffa caught our eye. The location is bang-on too. The vast sands of Charles Clore Beach are just a few minutes walk away, and countless buzzy cafes and restaurants line the history-rich streets surrounding the home. An apartment of this heritage has its quirks –⁠ so expect the communal hallway and terrace to feel a little tired in places. However, the same can’t be said for that impressively well-equipped kitchen. It’s perfect for rustling up lazy brunches to savour on that showstopping terrace. 

City of Oranges

This beachfront apartment is a great option for those in search of a laid-back coastal getaway. From the private balcony and family-friendly rooms to the open-plan living space, this is the ideal setting to switch off and savour quality time together. Parking is included in your stay, housekeeping can be arranged and there is the handy addition of a sofa bed for two guests. It’s possible you may hear some street noise while you are here, but the location means easy access to the beach and the nearest amenities. 

Sunset Tones

With its enviable seafront position, this apartment makes the perfect setting for a laidback coastal getaway. Outside, you can admire the views while soaking in the jacuzzi or cooking up a treat on the barbecue. Inside, the rooms are well suited to families and groups in search of ease and relaxation. Children’s amenities can be provided, housekeeping can be arranged and free private parking is included in your stay. From here, you can walk to the beach and you’ll find the nearest shops and restaurants also within easy reach. 

The Blue Wonder

Set in the rolling hillsides of Yaffe Nof fringing the city of Maalot, the setting of this rustic home is idyllic. While the interiors are dated, and the kitchen is pocket-sized, it would suit a family looking for a fuss-free, practical home. Outside, the lawns for a runabout, outdoor Jacuzzi and dining terrace with a barbecue will be an all-around hit. If ten of you stay here, three guests will be sharing a mezzanine space that isn't overly private. Not ideal for some, but it would work great for three older children bunking in together.

Blue Skies, Green Hills

Overlooking Sanz Beach, this apartment wins us over with its Mediterranean Sea views and nearby restaurants. Take the lift to the ninth floor and kick your feet up in a polished living area, where the open-concept layout leads you to the balcony. Not only does this home offer practical storage space and a free cot for the littlest guests, but the hot tub features in the bathtub are a bonus. Nature lovers might like to drive to the Udim Reserve for a day trip.

Giants of the Sun

Set just a flip-flop from Netanya’s sweeping sandy shores and the city’s hub, the location of this apartment is spot-on. The pared-back, fuss-free interiors may not suit guests looking for a characterful, lived-in home. But you can’t help but swoon at the vast private terrace commanding sea views. It’s worth noting some of the bedrooms are on the snug side compared to the main bedroom with its en-suite, walk-in wardrobe and direct access to the terrace. We’ll leave you to decide who lucks out on that. 

The Edge of Colour

On Israel’s Mediterranean coast, this deluxe apartment is fit for a group of friends or a big family all travelling for a beach break together. It’s a ten-minute walk from Akhziv Beach, where turquoise water laps at golden sand and ruins from the Phoenician era line the seafront. There’s a handful of cafés and bakeries within walking distance, but a ten-minute drive soon sees you in the bustling beachside town of Nahariyya for big supermarkets and plenty of dining options.

Back at the apartment, you’ve got an expansive terrace where lounge furniture takes advantage of the far-reaching sea view. Outside, you’ll find a dining table fit for the whole group and a grill for barbecue lunches. Some of the bedrooms boast their own private balconies too. 

Inside, the open-plan living area makes for a classy and social space, with a double-height ceiling keeping this breezy. Pendant lamps above the dining table and candelabra above the seating area sit alongside modern artworks on gallery-white walls. There are a couple of additional family snugs to hide away in, and a vibrant kids' hang-out room with bean bags to keep the little ones entertained.

The Sea Shines On

This luxurious villa is located in the Upper Galilee region of Israel. The heated swimming pool and Jacuzzi are indoors, perfect for year-round use, and the barbecue station has plenty of alfresco seating. At full capacity, several guests will sleep on sofa beds in the living room and in one of the bedrooms, but we think families will love it here – well-behaved pets are allowed on request, and your host can provide a cot for little ones. You'll want a car for getting around – it's a short drive to various hiking trails, heritage sites, shopping centres, and attractions along the Sea of Galilee.

The Feather

Perched overlooking the glimmering seascape of the Mediterranean, this beachside property puts you just 750 metres away from Achziv Beach, along with a wealth of watersports and beach activities. 

Take in the soothing sea views from the terrace balcony while tucking into some Mediterranean and Israeli-inspired culinary delights. The apartment's interior is just as relaxing as minimal designs, and soft grey hues blend into the natural environment with style. 

An idyllic spot for a family or group of four friends, it serves as a great base between days spent paddleboarding on the beach or soaking up the bars, boutiques and restaurants of nearby Nahariya.




Beach Living 

This contemporary home in Nahariya is bright and cheerful, with a roomy balcony giving way to incredible sea views. You're within steps of the waterfront, just off the Achziv National Park. And with everything within easy reach, including cafes, restaurants, and shops, it's the ideal spot for both a family getaway or a holiday with friends.

We love this home's contemporary interior, sleek and modern while being colourful and warm. It's a sociable apartment, with a large open kitchen and living space. The kitchen is really one that demands to be cooked in, with the dining table setting the stage for cheerful dinners at home. 

Conveniently close to the Achziv National Park and to the heart of Nahariya, you can easily make the most of some of Israel's most beautiful beaches. One such place is Achziv Beach, a cove of golden sand and azure waters, where the little ones can spend hours making sandcastles while the grown-ups can sip on beer and lounge on the beach. During the summer, you might even spot sea turtles who lay their eggs here.

Restaurants surrounding the beach are absolutely wonderful for catching the sunset, but the best seat in town is right at home. Your balcony gets an undisturbed viewing of the golden sun dipping into the Mediterranean sea. Snack on hummus, pitta, and olives, and sip on wine, as you watch in awe.

Rose & Sage

With soothing shades of mint and cucumber painted walls, you might not think this home – a twenty-five-minute drive from Israel – could get much more relaxing, but opening the sliding door that leads out to the balcony and allowing the seasalt breeze to blow in, might just undo that final knot in your shoulder. Let the sofa swallow you up as you sit reading with the sounds and smells of the ocean as your only companion. 

Come together as a group on the balcony for breakfast and plan expeditions to the Sea of Galilee or explore the neighbourhood streets, sampling each of the restaurants and cafes you come across. 

The beach is minutes away, so naturally days will be spent sunbathing on the sandy shores. When you’re not admiring Achziv – the ancient site with ruins from the Phoenician era – you might find yourself back home with a bag full of baklava playing games of Rummikub around the kitchen table. End every day with a glass of wine on the balcony as you watch the sunset and toast to a more adventurous tomorrow. 

Mint & Coral

Minutes away from the Mediterranean seashore, this home has a modern interior and a large outdoor space – including a patio, garden, and a private pool. Benefitting from its desirable beachside location, you have Akhziv National Park and Nahariya Zoo-Botanical Garden nearby.

Inside this home, the open-plan living area enjoys a sunny design aesthetic and lots of natural light. We especially love the warm-wooded kitchen, which is well-equipped for cooking Middle Eastern cuisine. Through sliding doors that encourage the flow of indoor-outdoor living, there are plenty of spots to sunbathe and dine alfresco.

Be sure to pack your camera if you stay in the summertime, as the golden sands of Akhziv become a nesting site for sea turtles. Between sandstone ridges and rare sea plants, this bay is an undeniably unique spot in Israel – so you can make unforgettable memories with your family.

Why not use the free private parking here? Hire a car and drive out to Galilee, where world-famous sights and hiking trails await. After a busy day, you'll want to gather your loved ones on the patio and toast a happy holiday with a glass of arak.
