Just across the Tiber from central Rome, Trastevere is an old medieval suburb of the Italian capital, packed with family-run trattorias and lively bars. This apartment puts you in the centre of all that action, overlooking one of the neighbourhood’s main streets from private balconies. While it doesn’t have a living room, there’s room for the group to gather at the breakfast nook and the kitchen has everything you need for self-catering. Each bedroom is a little like a hotel room with its own TV and two of the bedrooms have balcony access and seating areas.

Home truths

This apartment doesn't have a living room, but there is a dine-in kitchen, TVs in every bedroom and two of the bedrooms have seating areas.

Three of the bedrooms are triple rooms, so quite a few people will be sharing across a double and a single bed setup at capacity.

Given the home's central spot in a nightlife-heavy neighbourhood, expect to hear some street noise throughout your stay. Light sleepers might want to pack earplugs.

Your host can provide a cot for infants on request.

While this apartment is not on the ground floor, there is a lift in the building.

About Aventino

As one of the city's legendary seven hills, the Aventine plays a central role in the founding mythology of Rome. In ancient times it was a hive of activity – the home of foreign religious cults and dens of iniquity that caused consternation among the powers that be. Today it is a quiet residential neighbourhood full of sprawling mansions, historic churches and lovely gardens. There are no restaurants up here,...

Host

This home is managed by Gianluca

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. As soon as we met him, we could tell that Gianluca was a bit of a perfectionist. He stays in contact with many of his former guests, and we were particularly touched by all their messages displayed in the apartment’s window.

This home is nominated for the Plum Guide Award.

  • Great hosts, not just great homes – We reject homes managed by hosts who don’t meet our standards of excellence.
