Perched over a calm lake, this modern home sits within the nature haven of the Cotswolds Water Park. You can kayak on the lake, spot ducks from the deck, spend the day fishing or embark on a family ramble past sheep fields and forests. At the end of an active day, a private hot tub awaits to soothe sore muscles. Dinner and drinks can be taken on the deck which juts out over the lake. Inside, the open living area is home to a sleek, modern kitchen and those lucky enough to bag the lofty main bedroom can enjoy a soak in the en-suite’s freestanding tub.

Home truths

    This home is laid over two floors with internal stairs. There are also stairs leading up to the main bedroom's mezzanine en-suite which is open to the sleeping area below.

    Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as twins or with super king-size beds. Just let your host know what you prefer in advance.

    For those with reduced mobility, there's a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom here.

    There is air conditioning on the ground floor but not upstairs.

    If you're travelling for work, you won't find a dedicated desk here. However, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace.

    The deck juts out over the lake, so children should be supervised at all times outside.

    Having a car is recommended and there is parking available.
