In Lisbon’s liberal and leafy Principe Real neighbourhood, this stylish corner apartment is the perfect spot to unwind after scaling the city’s seven hills. With windows on all sides, the living area is flooded with glorious sunlight. We loved the nature-inspired interiors – among the pristine white walls, the green velvet sofa, flourishing pot plants and frond-rimmed mirror add a down-to-earth ambience to the space. Set up a breakfast of traditional Portuguese pastries and strong coffee at the glass dining table. When you’re ready to take on the steep inclines, head out into the winding streets and make your way along Rua Escola Politécnica. Wander past raved-about ice cream shops, sleek boutiques, and bars and restaurants worth earmarking for the evenings. Take a break in the serene Botanical Garden, a five-minute walk away, before continuing on into the bohemian Bairro Alto and bustling Baixa-Chiado downtown district.
