Do you have a question about this home or the local area?

Built at the turn of the twentieth century, this home is drenched in character and vintage charm. The dark walls and blue carpet add a bit of gloom, which actually works quite well in this nostalgic setting. However, the arrangement is slightly odd because the living room is at the back of the building, meaning there is very limited natural light, while the bedroom faces Madison Avenue, which can get pretty noisy during rush hour. But it's actually this outstanding location that makes the home special – New Yorkers call this the “Upper East Side Gold Coast.”

About Sutton Place

Sutton Place is a cosy, affluent enclave on the East River at the upper end of Midtown. One of New York City's smallest and most exclusive neighbourhoods, its six or so tree-lined blocks are marked with regal townhouses and lovely pre-war apartment buildings. Unlike other districts in the city, Sutton Place’s cross streets end in cul-de-sacs (which means that traffic is light), opening up into delightful parks offering astounding views...

Host

This home is managed by Giampiero

This home is managed directly by a business. A member of their staff will be your point of contact before and during your stay. Giampiero has lived in New York for thirty years now but still feels very Italian! That's where he'll likely be when his apartment is available to rent. If you like cooking, then try to follow some of the recipes in his cookery book Un Pasto al Sole which was co-published with his brother in Italy. His garden is his haven.
